Race and Religious Wedding – Jessica + Brad Grzywacz

September 27, 2022

I still cannot get over how perfect and action packed Jessica and Brad’s Race and Religious Wedding in New Orleans was. It was an intimate affair filled with all of the experiences you could ever dream of in a gorgeous courtyard setting. Race and Religious is so majestic and historical to New Orleans and is absolutely perfect for intimate weddings. Y’all know New Orleans in late September tends to be hot and let me tell you…it was. The couple had cute fans at their welcome table for guests to pick up when arriving and let’s just say everyone needed it, me included! My favorite part of the planning was the fact that they had a cocktail hour with passed food BEFORE their ceremony. YES PLEASE! Keep reading to hear (AND SEE!) all about their day and what made it so special.

Wedding Secondline at Race and Religious

I am living for this color palette. Bailey Rose Events helped Jess with the design as well as coordination for the day and although Jess loved whites/greens Bailey noticed she had quite a bit of color saved on her inspiration board. They decided to go for the color and I am so happy they did! The jewel tones mixed with the lighter hues really give the wedding an all season vibe and it also really complimented the colors of Race and Religious. BRAVO to the design team!

The couple turned one of the rooms in Race and Religious into a bourbon/cigar room in honor of Jess’ mother, Rose. Her mom was the queen of stiff drinks and dance floor moves so I thought it was an amazing tribute to her. I also loved the personalized whisky barrel dispenser. The other small room at Race and Religious was a tarot card room. I didn’t get a chance to get a reading but the line was out the door so I know everyone enjoyed it.
