Sarah and Robbie had a Metairie Country Club wedding reception and a sentimental church ceremony at Our Lady of the Rosary in New Orleans. It was truly a gorgeous day with much cooler temps and we were all grateful for that!

We started the day at Canal Street Inn which is an incredible hidden gem in the city. I had never been here to photograph prep but the back house is amazing and it private, large, great light and the courtyards are very amazing for photos. It is also on the Canal street car line which can make for great photos if you want a New Orleans streetcar feel for your big day! Everyone was so supportive of Sarah and made sure she did not have to worry about a thing. Her and her dad did a first look and it was so sweet…it is easily one of my favorite parts of the day.

Blakeley will Belle Amour Weddings was a huge help! We had a few transportation hiccups trying to get to the first look but Blakeley quickly sprang into action and took care of that so we could continue working and not stressing. Although we were a tad behind schedule due to transportation not being on time, Belle Amour and I worked together on a timeline that added a little cushion for hiccups.

Sarah and Robbie’s first look was at City Park and he cried! I was a puddle myself. The way he smiled at her and quickly embraced her showed how sweet their love is and how much they support each other. Our portraits at City Park were also FUN! The entire group was outgoing and easy to be around.

I also love that Sarah chose a Bentley to ride with her dad to the church. It was freaking gorgeous and a nice change from the typical Rolls Royce we see here in New Orleans. She arrived right at sunset and their Catholic ceremony was perfect.

Their Metairie Country Club wedding reception kicked off with drinks and appetizers being passed around and guests enjoying the sounds of a piano player (Dat Band is really talented y’all) in the foyer area. Their cake was minimalist perfection and tasted JUST as great! Once Sarah and Robbie came in the party didn’t stop! We all had a blast and the kids in the weddings really stole the show, I loved every minute. They were some dancing machines!

Their sweet two year old doodle Millie (also featured on their cocktail napkins, so cute!) was with Robbie for wedding prep and oh my sweetness how cute are they? I am a doodle Owner myself and I love dogs overall, so I was super excited to get a few cuddles from her.

Then Sarah changed into this fun dress to continue the party. The dance floor was packed all night and Dat Band really brought down the house ending with a secondline and sparkler exit.
