New Orleans Newlywed Session

May 9, 2020

Juliana and Ryan’s New Orleans Newlywed Session in the French Quarter

Juliana and Ryan had the perfect newlywed session in New Orleans. A Post Wedding Session is a great idea, especially if you have little ones. This family was full of non stop action and laughter. Before I get into their session details, I just want to explain how happy it makes me to work with families for weddings. Being able to be married WITH your child present is such an incredible thing. When I got married, we did not have a child yet but now that we do have an almost 7 year old and embarking on our 10 year wedding anniversary…I’m seriously considering having a second wedding just so she can see it. She watches our wedding video all the time and loves to see mom and dad get married haha. Enough about me but if you WANT to know more, head to my about me page.

Vendor Love:

Dress Designer: Essense of Australia

Dress Salon: Bliss Bridal, New York

Suit: Jos. A Banks

Venue: Laurenia NOLA

We started their session at Laurenia, which is one of the most perfect venues. It was pretty hot so starting in the air conditioning was GREAT haha! I love that the decor at Laurenia and it is perfect enough as is and provides a modern slate to work with. Not to mention it is great for the little ones because they can run freely and have fun!

They didn’t want to lose the feel of the French Quarter so that was our next stop. We had fun with this and just strolled around together, stopping along the way. I really will never get over how different the architecture is building to building in New Orleans. It really makes me feel so lucky that we have such great landscapes around every corner. Each block is unique and makes it easy to get a wide variety of shots without walking insanely far. Gotta keep that sweat to a minimum.
