Oh what a night! The day started at The Dansereau House in Thibodaux and it was so stress free! Jacey chose to have 3 bridesmaids and it made for a relaxing prep time for her. While she was getting ready, her cousin put their grandmother’s necklace on her and it was such a sweet moment. There was not a dry eye in the room, including myself. These very personal moments are what humbles me the most. The way my clients trust me and let me in to see and feel the raw emotions of their day is something that I don’t let escape me. I never know exactly what moments will be their most sentimental but it always moves me when I witness it. Once Jacey was all dressed and ready, we took some fun photos with the bridal party, then had a first look with her and her dad on the balcony of the mansion style home. This house is literally dripping with so many amazing antiques and there is so much inspiration there!

I opted to do Heath and Jacey’s first look in front of the house and the sunlight was dripping gold hues all over them! They looked so relieved when the got to see each other. I could see all the apprehesion leave Heath’s eyes and I also haven’t seen him smile so damn big. GAH! So cute! I feel like we did so much in so little time and honestly, I even shocked myself!

The time was finally here for them to head out for their Cypress Columns wedding ceremony. It has been quite a while since I have done a twilight wedding ceremony! The uplighting in the trees highlighted the beautiful deck with the tranquil fountain in the background. The ceremony was short and sweet but still personal. Jacey’s brother married them and he hit all the points. We laughed, cried and both of their parents looked on with the most proud smiles during their vows.

Their wedding reception at cypress columns kicked into high gear fast! The Party Starters 504 band interacted with the guests all night and kept the boogie shoes moving. There was a sing off, a dance off and even a performance by Jacey and Heath at the end of the wedding. We ended on the highest (and sometimes most nervous part for me) note with a sparkler exit and it was dreamy. I low key loved that guests didn’t stand so close together because helllooooo fire and excited people sometimes scare me haha. All in all it was a glorious night! They are loved beyond measure and have the best support to guide them in keeping their marriage safe and successful.
